At the Anchor Hotel we have Banqueting Rooms that are able to cater for an intimage group of 10 people to the more lavish party of 130 people. The Anchor Hotel has three banqueting rooms available, as well as having it sister hotels, banqueting rooms avaiable to. Each of the banqueting rooms hold a varient amount of guests dependant on the type of occasion that is held within the banqueting room. The three banqueting rooms available by the Anchor Hotel are The Disraeli Suite, The Oliver Room, The Bay Room. The Disraeli Suite (banqueting room) is perfect for weddings, conferences, seminars, and banquets of all kinds, as the Disraeli suite banqueting room has the finest examples of wood carvings throughout this room. These were acquired from an American who purchased them and then found they could not be exported. These ornately carved panels were from the bedroom of former Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli's Home. Hence the aptly named Disraeli Suite. The Oliver (Banqueting) Room is ideal for smaller functions which can accommodate a seating arrangement for up to 35 guests (65 buffet style). This banqueting room was designed/inspired by the famous Charles Dickens Story Oliver Twist. The Banqueting room has charming wood panelling, with colouful stained glass windows and intricate tapistry. The Bay (banqueting) Room was rebuilt after the original room (dance room) was destroyed by a fire in 1984. This bright and welcoming room occupies the front of the hotel and is perfect for private dining up to 14 guests.
